While Surigaonons were in panic for the Tsunami alert, my mama still managed to crack a joke when I called her up yesterday. She said she was about to recite the Mi Ultimo Adios when her phone rang. And my cousin Ann, according to my mama, was afraid that she might lose her most beautiful aunt that Ann kept on calling her, prodding her to join them.
Well, knowing my mama, she won't just give in to such scare. She has always maintained her composure and of course, her sense of humor. And that's just two things that I admire about her.
I must say, i'm so lucky to be her daughter! :)

I Was Born For You Last Night
Last night, my officemates and I watched John Ford Coley's concert for the 2nd time at Heritage Hotel. This time around, David Pomeranz and Ciara Sotto, were his special guests. The mere mention of David being part of the show made me jumped off my seat and marched straight to the hotel's ballroom. For the record, David has been my favorite singer/composer since I first heard him with his timeless Born For You song.
I was caught offguard when he sang, "On This Day". I did not expect it, or shall I say I forgot that that song exists. In fact, before he sang it, he shared that he and his friend were thinking about their wives when they were composing that song. I thought he was referring to that Born For You. tsk! tsk!
Anyway, he sang it with so much passion even when he was suffering with colds (and so we thought) that night. I would have been misty-eyed listening to his beautiful rendition had I not been so engrossed in taking a video of him.
By the way, "On this Day" was one of the songs that I copied in more than a hundred CDs that were distributed as give-away items on my wedding day. :)

My Sis-In-Law Made It!
I just found out this morning that my sis-in-law, malou, made it to the nursing board examinations which she took last November 2009. No words can describe how happy am I not only for her, but most especially for my mother who also sacrificed for the future of her grandchild, zhea.

Baby Wipes...
Last Friday, I decided to go home early (early, meaning, not later than 8pm). At that time I just felt that I need to take a break from work. But when I got home, I sensed something is wrong with my health. I felt cold and my body temperature was hot. I immediately snuggled under my comforter. I then realized that, finally, my physical and emotional stress were already catching up with me.
Anyway, I looked for bioflu in my medicine box and got dismayed when I did not find any. I settled for biogesic instead while trying to console myself that my mama would prefer biogesic over any other medicine for fever.
I panicked when the thermometer showed 38.5 degrees celsius! I was trying to imagine how it feels on a hot, summer day when the temperature at yahoo weather reports at 33 only. What more for a 38.5?!
I felt that my body was so hot that I was already worried that my fever might worsen. Instinct instructed me to wipe my whole body with a wet towelette. But then, i was afraid to wet my hands with water. Good thing, I remember I still have a few packs of baby wipes in my cabinet. I got it and let it do its job.
Voila! After less than half an hour, my fever was almost gone! Was it because of biogesic or baby wipes? Maybe both. Or perhaps thanks to the science of oral medicine? Hmmm.. I would rather attribute it to baby wipes. It's like magic! :)

I Love You All The Way
My recent vacation at my hometown gave me the chance to unwind, meaning, sleep-eat-sing-play-dance-sing-eat-sleep (in no particular order). My baby would oftentimes join me in my busy schedule, except for sleeping and eating (as I am too good to share that. :)
I love to sing. Never mind if my singing does not love me. It came to a point when my baby innocently asked me this while I was in the middle of my concert: "Mommy, do you really love to sing?" That simple question made me think deeply if I should change career paths or perhaps, I should just be simply reported to Bantay Bata 163 for torturing her with my golden voice, much more for the consequences of her question. :)
Well, I could not blame my baby for asking me that. I sang "I Love You All The Way" for nth times. I just can't help falling in love with that song since last year when I first heard it being played. It speaks much of an unconditional love, something that the cynical-but-still-hopeless romantic in me could not help but say, "it's just too good to be true..."

Lovers in Heritage.. last night..
Just before I left the office last night, I was tempted to open the TV and took a peek on what's being shown at the local version of Lovers in Paris. There I saw KC looking for Piolo at the lobby of Heritage Hotel. It was flashed for only a few seconds but that scene was actually shot for a number of times, which made me realized that being an actress takes a lot of patience. Thank God I am not one. Hehehe
Back to my long-awaited episode, I was disappointed when one of my fave songs, "I Love You All The Way", was not being played at all. Or must it be that I just didn't get to that part as I already left the office in haste? Well, just to console myself, I would rather give it the benefit of the doubt. :)

Lovers in Heritage... soon!
I went home early yesterday, as early as seven o'clock in the evening. Yes, I consider that as unusual since I usually go home at nine o'clock. But that's not the story of this post.
While I was waiting for the delivery of my clothes from the laundry shop, I happened to glance at the TV. I saw Piolo Pascual playing the piano while KC was watching him. It was the preview of the future episode of Lovers in Paris.
I thought the shooting of scenes in Heritage Hotel last month was already shown in TV. I look forward to watch that scene, especially the part where the song entitled, "I Love You All The Way" is being played as a background music. But I know that would be near to impossible as I always go home late. I could have watched it in the office but i dare not to since I would rather listen to music while doing some stuff in the computer.
Enough of this thing. It's almost 9pm. Time to go home. :)
