Big, Big Sale of MOA Is Coming!

Once again, SM Mall of Asia will be having its few three-day sale, which if my memory serves me right, is their first for this year.  I will surely not miss this event for anything!  This is the only moment when  the shopaholic in me will splurge in my hard-earned (as in!) money without feeling guilty at all.

To those who are also going there this coming Friday, see yah!

Finally, My Summer Vacation Officially Starts... Today!

I just had my last but definitely not my least final examination this afternoon.  Actually, I thought I would finish it all last week yet.  But it turned out, my examination for my last subject was actually scheduled, March 26, thus, prolonging my agony.  Nevertheless, it's now over!  Hence,  by virtue of the power vested in me, I now declare my summer vacation... open for chuva and everything!

I am so excited!  Tomorrow, my mama and I will head to Baclaran church, have some shopping somewhere thereafter, and in the late afternoon, I will be attending a classmate's birthday celebration.  That's just a few of the things that will keep me busy right before this month ends.

But not so fast, guia!  Yeah right... I still have some audit observation memoranda to finish for my special audit engagement. Huhuhu :(

Are We Really In Danger?

Another explosion of an overheating reactor was reported by CNN Asia just this morning.  Authorities here in our country downplayed rumors about radiation that have been circulating thru text messages since yesterday.  But are they  (including those in Japan) not just trying to calm the public so as to prevent massive panic when they themselves may be nervous already?

If you read the words behind the news, something must be fishy already.  Take these for instance: seawater was used as a "desperate" attempt to contain the damage; radiation levels at the plant have "increased to levels that can impact human health"; "there is no significant effect but we are monitoring situation so we can advise officials on what is the best action"; and so on and on.

For now, what we can do are to pray, move on with our daily lives in accordance with the teachings of God, as well as, be vigilant of what is going on.. :(

Is It The End of the World?

My officemates and I have been joking about the effect of the recent calamities that hit Japan and even some parts of the world.  We were already planning of doing some things that we were not able to do ever in  our own respective lives and/or indulge in things that we having been hopelessly depriving ourselves of  (e.g., food, shopping, and... and sex included! lol!).  Well, trying to lighten up may be our way of coping with the anxiety and fear of what is happening around us.

But seriously speaking, just thinking about the possibility that the world is already ending makes me ponder about life... and death, as well.  Death is so scary, and so certain..  I hope it won't be too soon.. I still want to enjoy life with my loved ones...

Hence, not to soon... Please...

Summer Vacation Is Almost Here!

I'm now counting the days when school days will soon gonna be over.  After that, I will be able to focus more on my two jobs - my special audit and my regular audit (just to distinguish from the other one, lol).  Hopefully, I will be able to finish those not later than end of this month as there are other extra-curricular activities that have been screaming for my attention for the past few months already, not to mention a number of summer get-aways that I have already scheduled for the next three months of my sizzling life.  I'm so excited!!!

For now, I'm temporarily signing off.  I have some studying to catch up on in a few minutes. :)

Tsunami Scare

BE ON ALERT FOR UNUSUAL WAVES - This was the advisory issued by National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council at around 3 o'clock this afternoon.  This was after Japan was struck by an 8.8 magnitude earthquake and thereafter hit by a 4-meter tsunami.  The coastlines of around nineteen (19) provinces (including Surigao) facing the Pacific Ocean are currently under watch especially between 5pm to 7pm tonight.

Although Metro Manila is not listed among those provinces mentioned, my officemates still counted the possibility that something bad might also happen here knowing that we are just a few kilometers away from Manila Bay.

Accordingly, employees of GSIS, which is located at the reclamation area, were advised to go home early.  Hmm.. I just wish I could go home early too...
